Consistency Plus Discipline Minus Procrastination: Creating the Life You Desire
What if the secret to creating your dream life wasn't about massive changes but simply applying a powerful formula consistently? The CDP formula—Consistency plus Discipline minus Procrastination—is your pathway to achieving what I call a true "glow up." Whether you're building a business, improving your health, or pursuing creative endeavors, this formula transforms intention into reality.
Many of us fall into the trap of spreading ourselves too thin, trying to make progress in too many areas simultaneously. Through my own journey on this 365-day Consistency Project, I've discovered the power of the 80-20 rule: focusing intensely on the 20% of actions that create 80% of your desired impact. This approach prevents burnout while maximizing results. When you identify just one thing to be consistent with—like flossing daily for better oral health or dedicating an hour each day to your passion—you create momentum that carries into other areas of your life.
The most dangerous word in your vocabulary might be "tomorrow." What's that one thing you've been postponing until some future date that never seems to arrive? The perfect life isn't one without challenges—it's the imperfect one you appreciate through daily gratitude and consistent action. Even on the hardest days, maintaining your key priorities keeps you anchored to your vision. You don't need permission to be creative, to show up for yourself, or to change your habits. You already possess everything required to begin creating the life you desire. Join me in this journey, choose your one consistent action, and watch as your daily discipline compounds into the transformation you've been seeking. Are you ready to eliminate procrastination and embrace your authentic self? Your glow up starts today.
Thanks for listening and growing with me on this journey towards the ultimate level of success. #Hood2hooded #drshon #drshonconsistencyproject #consistencyproject

CDP means consistency, discipline and the lack of procrastination that's important in creating the life you desire. It's very, very important. Cdp ratio consistency plus discipline minus procrastination equals flow or glow. It's a glow. This is your glow up moment when you get this recipe. Say it with me now consistency plus discipline minus procrastination equals a glow up period.
Speaker 1:Building a strong daily routine helps you fight burnout and helps you helps prevent you from quitting on your goals and on the things that you desire. If you have these, if you have this formula down pat, then you will continue to show up every single day and the more you get into a routine, it becomes easier to be consistent Every day. I'm consistent about brushing my teeth, flossing my teeth. I want to be consistent on Twitch Every single day now, because you know, today everybody has the same type of time. We all got the same 24 hours. What you do with your 24 hours matters, but if you have a routine where you get enough sleep, you're eating healthy, you are taking care of your mind and your body, then you know you have a pretty safe routine. I'm adding reading to my routine more often. What else do I want to add to my routine? And just building an audience that connects people globally, where we can show up even when it's tough, because we have something to prove. Guys, we really have a lot to prove. So the 80 20 rule have you guys ever heard of the 80 20 rule? You focus on the 20 of the actions that create 80 of the impact. It's so easy to get caught in doing tasks that aren't really going to have a major impact on your life or grow your life, but when you take your time and you focus on the 20 percent that is going to have a major impact, it grows significantly. That's like for me. I was realizing that I was trying to post here, post a little post here, do something here on this platform, do something here, stay up to date here, when it was just spreading me too thin and it can create a sense of burnout. Now, since I have a plan, because I don't plan to fail if you plan, if you don't plan, you plan to fail. Right Now that I have a plan, to be consistent in that imperfect consistency is me just showing up I could just show up here for an hour and chill out and then I would have met my goal because I did what I said I was going to do. The 80-20 rule is saying you're going to focus on the small things that give you the greatest impact. So I know well, I hypothesize, that the small thing that I can focus on is being consistent versus trying to be spread thin. If I can be consistent with this one thing, will my hypothesis be true, will I create the life that I desire? If I use the CDP formula, consistency plus discipline minus procrastination equals flow, aka a big glow up period.
Speaker 1:Examples flossing every day. This is going to have a daily impact on your oral health. If you floss every day, you won't have as much calculus. Your checkups at the dentist will be better. You'll have longer longevity with your teeth, less pain by just doing that daily and being consistent daily, doing something that matters. Because people don't floss, even though that's a big part of brushing, you got to do it.
Speaker 1:Streaming one hour a day. This is habit compounding Meaning. If I do this every day, it's only going to grow every single day. And one thing I noticed about this is that it's giving me more content easily by having this one habit that I don't find too difficult to show up for our. I make it kind of difficult because I try to have content, things to say something to help us grow, and I put a lot of pressure on myself there. So I'm this project is teaching me to fall back a little bit from the pressure. Okay, just show up. The audience loses trust when you don't show up and I don't I can't be having that. I can't be having that gang, gang, gang. I can't be having it and I realized that that's a flaw that I had. That's something that I lack in my goals, because if I want to be a streamer and I know that streamers have to show up then I can't be skipping the process.
Speaker 1:You sometimes, if you can't take the elevator, you got to take the stairs, and it's okay to take the stairs. When you go from hood to hoodie, sometimes you got to take the stairs, take the slow grind. But guess what, baby, if you take the elevator, you miss so many lessons along the way. You miss, like a lot of lessons. So when you create in the life you desire, it's better to take the stairs, it's better not to skip the process, because you learn things and you will never forget what you learned. You will never forget those days when you did not feel like showing up and you still got up. So those days that come around again, you're going to be like I did this before.
Speaker 1:I mastered showing up when I didn't feel like it. I mastered showing up when it was difficult. I mastered showing up when the consistency was not easy. It wasn't easy. I mastered showing up when I was scared and fearful and didn't know what I was going to say. I mastered showing up when it was almost too late to show up. I mastered that. So that's what we want. We want to master being the creator of the life that we desire. We want to master consistency, master discipline and toss that f***ing procrastination out the window.
Speaker 1:Another example of you know the CDP is a morning prep routine for your business. You're going to have a smoother week If you get up in the morning. You prep yourself for business. Or, you know, if you're an entrepreneur, you have a morning routine where you maybe shower, do a little meditation, maybe you do a little reading, work out, I don't know Take a walk, just have 10 minutes of quiet time. You watch something educational. Educational, you're listening to a podcast, aka hood the hooded. Are you watching a replay of the dr shine tv on twitch? Whatever you do as part of your morning routine in all seriousness, is going to lead to a smoother day. I notice that the mornings when I get up and I'm prepared, I set my cases up. We know what's on the schedule, you checked everything. Those days are going to go smoother.
Speaker 1:But if you slack and one day you don't do that, it's chaos and nobody likes chaos. If you want to create a life you desire, eliminate chaos, prepare, but if you fail to plan, then your plan is to fail. If you fail to plan, practice honor is no joke. Unexpected expenses hit, patients, cancel, staff, get sick, but what keeps you rooted is your routine, your actions. You don't negotiate. You don't negotiate, regardless of all the fluctuations that's going on.
Speaker 1:When you're on this CDP journey, this consistency soup journey. During the consistency project, we got one requirement, guys, and by now, if you're following me, hopefully, you have decided to do one thing consistent, consistent in your life for 365 days and, like I said, flossing can be one challenge yourself. You don't have to do no hour on twitch, you don't have to say I'm gonna write this every day. Do something simple and you're going to learn and grow from it. Regardless, you're going to grow and speak those positive things into existence. The reason why I'm choosing not to quit on my journey, the reason why I'm choosing not to quit the perfect life is the imperfect life that you appreciate and that you show gratitude towards. So even when I have a hard day in the dental office, where I'm stressing about unexpected expenses, patient cancellations or difficult cases where we just can't get it to work out, or if I'm starting from Genesis, that's a Mahari, if you know. You know, if I'm starting from Genesis, you still can't quit. Sometimes, starting over is the best option. So when I have those difficult days in the dental office, they wear me out, they burn me out. But guess what, along this 365 day consistency project, I can't let it count me out. I can't take a break from consistency, just like you can't take a break from consistency.
Speaker 1:What is one thing that you've been saying that you'll start tomorrow? What is one thing that you've been saying that you'll start tomorrow? What is one thing that you've been saying that, oh, I'll just start it tomorrow? Think about it. I know y'all got. I know y'all. What is that one thing that you every day Like I'm going to do it tomorrow. I'm going to do it tomorrow, I'll do it tomorrow. What is preventing you from doing it today? Can we start tonight? Can we start like right now? Can you? Can you do it today? Is that a possibility, chat? Is it a possibility for you to show up for the dream life that you want to build today, instead of waiting till tomorrow?
Speaker 1:When you're younger, you realize, oh my gosh, we have all the time in the world I'm so young. But then one day you wake up and you 30, 35, 40, 55, 60 and you still talking about I'm gonna do it tomorrow, I'll do it. Tomorrow I'll find out how to apply to this program that I want to do. Tomorrow I'll start. I figure out how to start this business that I've been thinking about doing. Tomorrow, I'll think about going to work out to the gym and building the dream life and body that I want. Tomorrow, I'll think about flossing my teeth. Tomorrow, I'll think about taking that dream vacation and I want to go to the islands. Tomorrow, I'll think about applying to a new job and leveling up my life and getting the glow up. Tomorrow, I'll think about sticking to the CDP ratio consistency plus discipline, minus procrastination.
Speaker 1:Tomorrow, what is preventing you from doing it today? Can you start tonight? Can you start building your dream life in real life tonight. Is that impossible for you? Are you hindered? Is something holding you back? Is it yourself that's holding you back? I want you to show up as your full self every day, my gang every day. Show up as your full self.
Speaker 1:So for me, if you didn't know, I'm indigenous, I'm Niji, I'm indigenous to Turtle Island, I'm beautiful, I'm melanated and I'm a brilliant person dentist and I love to see when people grow up and glow together. And you ain't about that energy. Skirt out the way, please, skirt. Put on you some sunglasses, please, because we about to shine over here baby Period Period. So if y'all ready to live your dream life, if you ready to create the life that you desire, if you ready to be creative and learn from other people and just grow and never give up on anything that you're pursuing in life, if you're ready to stick to that routine and do 20 of the things that get you 80 of the results the 80 20 rule. Let me get some comments in the chat, please. Let me get some replays. Let me get some comments or messages on the YouTube, please. And let me know. Let me know Say yes, I am ready. I'm ready to live the life that I desire. Are you ready? Are you eager? Are you motivated? Are you going to show up? Are you going to quit on yourself? We got something to prove here, guys.
Speaker 1:This is day four of a 365 day consistency project. Turn it up, Turn it up, run it up Period. I'm going to be honest with you. I don't know where this even came from. I just felt like I was lacking something. I said I got to put this in my routine. This has to be a part of my routine, even when I'm dealing with real life. My consistency shall not waver, baby, because it don't require me to do nothing, but just be me. That's what I know how to do. I know how to be myself. You know how to show up as your full, authentic self without any hesitation. You know how to glow up. You know that that fear is holding you back. You know that procrastination is holding you back. You know that the trauma, the childhood memories that you have, the drama, everything that has life bills, everything on the TV, the news, is holding you back. Free your mind, my Niji. Free your mind, my hood to hooded mentees. I need today to be the day that you say no to procrastination. This should be the day that you say yes to being everything that you desire to be. Okay, my hypothesis is working, because if I show up, y'all show up and we actually grow together. All right, so I do invite you guys to join me on my next read, which is Eat that Frog.
Speaker 1:This is an international bestseller with Brian Tracy. I really like his content. He is so inspiring and one of the greatest self-help people that there are on youtube. He explains things in a calm tone. It just makes so much sense like. I've already read this book once, but I'm gonna read even this book that I just showed you. I read it before, but I read it again today. But this book, I'm gonna read it again because I want to refresh my mind about procrastination.
Speaker 1:This is major for the cdp formula consistency plus discipline minus procrastination equals a flow or a glow up. So procrastination is something that we have to eliminate and we want to use every tool, every resource to kick procrastination's ass. Bad, bad. We want to. We got to be repellent. We need antibiotics for procrastination, because you will not mess up our goals and our glow up, baby. No, you won't be messing up our flow in life, no, thank you. So I invite y'all to read this book with me. I will be starting this one tomorrow and we'll be diving in it for a couple days until we finish.
Speaker 1:Eat that Frog, a little bit of Eat that Frog is what we talked about tonight with the 80-20 rule. That's where some of that comes from. Is this book? So I want to refresh my mind. We got to refresh our mind. You see, we got to refresh our mind. I think it'll be a good thing for us to discuss along this journey so that we can continue to just fill ourselves with nutritious thoughts and elevate our mindset.
Speaker 1:I'm also working on my masterpiece, hood to Hood it, the Dr Sean Story. You can see how thick this book is and yeah, so, baby procrastination where what? But I'm still showing it on here. Regardless of what I have going on this book, it's supposed to be out this summer, it's supposed to be not three summers ago. But when you can't just rush things and I feel like this project, the consistency project is going to help me be consistent with getting this done, because I've read this book this book is on like it's fifth or sixth edit. This is like the fourth or fifth time I printed it and it's still not ready, and I think that it's ready, but I can't put out no book, so it's gonna be ready when it's ready, I feel like by my 40th birthday, which is next year. I want to release it at my birthday party instead of this summer, because it's too close. I feel like that's going to be better. It will be the end of the consistency project, nearing the end of it, and just the recap of day four consistency over excuses.
Speaker 1:Creativity is a remix. Your, your voice matters. So remember to still, like artists, remix it, don't copy it, don't plagiarize. Just get ideas. Research and oral health equals total health. So take care of yourself, take care of your mind, and I invite all new followers to go ahead and click that follower button and just join the gang, gang, gang, because we leveling up every day period, we on to something great.
Speaker 1:I'm just showing up raw, real, that's it. If you're into that, then this is the tribe for you. Okay, this is the tribe for you. And remember, you don't need permission to be creative, it's just a process. It's just a process. You don't need permission for that. You don't need permission to show up for yourself. You don't need permission to wake up for yourself. You don't need permission to wake up every day with a mindset that says you know, today I just want to do something different and change this bad habit that I have. That's why this whole 365 day consistency project exists because I wanted, because I wanted to change it up and prove something, and that's exactly what we're doing.
